Dear Lisa,
I am not very good at posting things on lists; so I ask you to post this
message for me. Thank you.
With great sorrow, I wish to inform you that our dear friend and colleague,
Hadara Perpignan, passed away Saturday morning after a difficult illness.
Her funeral took place today at 11:00 at the Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel
Aviv.
Even though we live in the same country, I first became acquainted with
Hadara at the EATAW Conference in Budapest. Since then we have become close
friends, and we have worked together on a number of projects. Hadara made
presentations at EATAW conferences in the past and has taught and done
research in the field of academic writing. She was a founding member of
IFAW, The Israel Forum for Academic Writing, and she played an active role
in the first international conference which we held last July
We will miss her dearly.
Let us hope to hear better news from EATAW members in the future.
Sincerely,
Trudy Zuckermann
