This post is based in the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre (CCTC) of the Department of Oncology and involves very close links with the newly established Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and the MRC Biostatistics Unit (BSU).
The two main roles of the post will be first, to provide statistical support to the CCTC assisted by a recently appointed junior statistician in the Department of Oncology and second, to develop and eventually secure funding for their own research interest. In both of these roles, the postholder will work closely with the CTU and MRC BSU.
The postholder will spend one day per week in the MRC BSU to ensure a supportive working environment including mentoring by a senior statistician in order to develop novel methodologies.
