Hi Monica
I have a newly baked dissertation that deals with user experience and information in the health sector called:
"Improving user experience of evidence. A design approach to evidence-informed health care."
There is a summary of it published on the web site of the Oslo College of Architecture and Design (AHO).
http://www.aho.no/no/FoU/Publikasjoner/Avhandlinger/Sammendrag-PhD/Sarah-Rosenbaum/
and you can order it from the school - not quite sure how that happens but you can send them a mail if you are interested:

I think you might find both the thesis itself and the references a helpful tool in framing your work.
The underlying articles are also available individually - they are listed at the bottom of the summary at the link above.
But the "kappa" tying the articles together is a stand-alone, with a lot more design-relevant discussion than is in the articles, including an evaluation of the user experience framework I used in the studies.
regards
Sarah Rosenbaum
