defined and objectively measurable parameters.
May I suggest the use of concentrations, in the blood, of substances
associated with euphoria?
Or, if that would be deemed contentious, then at least let such
measures be used as covariates. so that the responses to questions
in the Survey can be moderated "allowing for ... "?
Or, if even that might be deemed contentious, then perhaps can
the whole scheme be dismissed as uninterpretable and lending itself
to spin-therapy?
Speaking for myself, I am inclined to predict responder bias, on the
lines of "I was feeling fine until I got your ****** questionnaire"!
