Dear PhD Designers
This may be of interest to people in Australia - Canberra - Melbourne -
Sydney.
I recently attended a non-conference - THATCamp - about digital
humanities - there were very few people from the design worlds there
which was a shame.
Anyway - I am posting here some information about interesting public
talks coming up.
cheers

THATCamp alumni,
Rest assured I won't be making a habit of emailing you, but I did want
to alert
you to some news on the digital humanities front.
First of all, Bethany Nowviskie, Director of Digital Research &
Scholarship at
the
University of Virginia Library and Associate Director of the Scholarly
Communication Institute, is on a flying visit to NZ and Australia and
we've
managed to persuade her to give not one, but two public lectures in
Canberra.
As well as being a veteran of numerous THATCamps herself, Bethany is a
major
figure in the digital humanities community and someone you should be
following
on Twitter (@nowviskie). We're excited to have this opportunity to
learn more
about her
experiences as both a researcher and administrator.
Bethany's talks in Canberra will be on Wednesday 8 December. Full
details can be
found here:
