I have just reported in current Fall issue of 'Design Issues' an approach
and method initiated some 30 years ago (not very recent alas!) that may be
worth to revisit and pursue along the lines of your research project: an
integrated model... I, too, deeply believe there is an avenue of fruitful
collaboration between both experts, the market researcher (since we are
still operating in a Market dominant paradigm) and the designer (as long as
this latter affirms herself as a full-fledged expert, instead of being
content of the traditional ancillary role). Please do keep me updated on the
progress in your research work.
