Dear Colleagues,
Following on from an online survey of interest in computational
methods for music research conducted this summer, a new online
community for computational musicology has been established. The group
is very informal and consists primarily of a discussion mailing
list. It is intended that this list should be used to discuss any
aspect of using computers in music research, including analytical,
historical, ethnographic, and editorial studies of music and musical
practice.

You are warmly invited to join the discussion list by following the
instructions here:
http://lists.computational-musicology.net/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Please note that it will be a policy of this list that announcements
(such as calls for papers, job adverts, new publication notifications,
etc.) will not be posted. A separate announcements list has been
created for this purpose.
I look forward to your contributions.
With best wishes,
Richard Lewis
