medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Quoting myself:

My, he must have been haunting his computer. This is what he told me:
" The reference comes from Kinmoth's _Irish Country Furniture_
when she was quoting someone she'd interviewed for the book.
That chairmaker stated that a certain type of chair was made
using the Seven Woods of the Cross.
I only have access to a limited digital copy of that document,
so I have no idea if the following page continues to quote to
describe all seven."
The gentleman is a craftsman rather than a scholar - he reproduces chests
and chairs and such. He asked me to extend his appreciation to Dr. Bugslag
and Mr. McChesney-Young for their help.
thank you,
Terri Morgan
