Hello everyone,
As a first message to mailbase, I was wondering if any of you could help me out with my current research.
I'm currently doing a Master of Literature and cinema, in both la Sorbonne (Paris IV) and the University of Glasgow, and my final dissertation is on "cinematic adaptation of science-fiction books".
I'm wondering if you could help me to find some critical books about science-fiction, most especially in literature but also in cinema. At the moment, I have read those one :
- Farah Mendlesohn, Rhetorics of Fantasy.
- Tzevtan Todorov, The Fantastic: A Structural Approach to a Literary Genre.
- Frederic Jameson, Archaeologies of the Future: The Desire Called Utopia and Other Science Fictions.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Guillaume Lecomte
