To finish my contribution to this thread and my contribution to this List (at least for the time being) as I feel I have imposed enough by now. I fully subscribe to the idea of a 'pedagogy of the thing'. More: if there is ever a role for a clinical psychologist/PhD (applied) anthropologist to contribute to a 'pedagogy of the thing', please do let me know. I'd jump back in academia tomorrrow.
