Hi all,
Please find below information about some events which may interest some of you. Also note that there is more information attached for those who want to know more about the SDN event.
On behalf of Sharon:
Materials Lab - 13th October
This is an interdisciplinary workshop exploring new routes for materials and challenging concepts such as Cradle to Cradle and Zero Waste. It will also be an opportunity to discuss the changing trends in the selection and use of materials for consumer products and the importance designers and consumers attach to sustainable materials and where they get their information from. The workshop will be facilitated with leading experts in design and materials such as Chris Lefteri (http://www.despoke.com/chris-lefteri/), Keith Freegard - Director of Axion Recycling and an anthropologist studying Materials Knowledge at the Institute of Materials in London. There will be an invited audience of designers, architects and waste policy makers. The event will run from 10am until 3 and will be in Unit 20/22 in Morgan Arcade in Cardiff – you can register here - http://materials-lab.eventbrite.com/
On behalf of Maria:
15th SDN event - "Social Sustainability"
Dear all,
We are pleased to be able to circulate the proposed agenda for the 15th SDN event - "Social Sustainability". We are still waiting to confirm one speaker but I am sure you will agree, it looks like an interesting line up and will open up lots of opportunity for discussion around this emerging topic. When the final speaker is confirmed or otherwise, we will circulate the final agenda.
Please feel free to pass this email on to any colleagues who you think might be interested in attending - we have a very open policy at the SDN. The agenda will be also publish at the Ning/Discussion Forum http://sustainabledesignnet.ning.com/.
If you have any queries about how to book your place or regarding the agenda, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
Mariale Moreno.
Best regards,
Jose
