Thanks for the reply, you're right in your deduction that our bdii is on
a seperate box. Our bdii regions are a very simple "CE2 DPM", and our
correspoding bdii-update.conf is:
cat /opt/bdii/etc/bdii-update.conf
GIP file:///opt/glite/libexec/glite-info-wrapper
CE2 ldap://fal-pygrid-44.lancs.ac.uk:2170/mds-vo-name=resource,o=grid
DPM ldap://fal-pygrid-30.lancs.ac.uk:2170/mds-vo-name=resource,o=grid
(We have CE2 for historical reasons). It should be noted that our site
bdii is still on SL4, running bdii 4.0.1-4 (not sure if this changes
things). The ldif creating "site-urls.conf" just has the CE2 and DPM
entries in it. Hangon- should the site bdii be a "BDII REGION" and thus
should the site-urls.conf have the local GIP entry in it too?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
