We use 0.032 as the limit. Over the years Abbott have increased the
99th centile from something near 0.010 to 0.028. In fact we are
considering dropping the extra decimal place and using 0.03 as the
cut-off.

Subject: Abbott Troponin I
Dear all,
We are currently trying to harmonize our refrence range for Tropnin I
with another hospital using the same Abbott system.
I am wondering what other Abbott users use as a reference range ? 10% CV
or ?99th centile and what is their CV at that level. Kit insert states
that 99th centile is 0.028 with 10% CV at 0.032.
Thank you
Soha
