You need to look in men and Mining in the Quantocks by Hamilton and Lawrence. and also in News from Cornwall by Hamilton Jenkin both of which have references to the ming at Loxton for copper. If you have trouble locating them. Let me know.

Gough says the only known instance of copper having been definitely mined was at
Loxton, in small quantities only.
He adds that next to nothing is known about the mine.

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Subject: Copper Mining in the Mendips?
I've come across a number of references to copper mining in the Mendips, but
none of them go into any detail.
I can't get to a library to look at Gough's "Mines of Mendip" for a day or two,
but has anyone come across any detailed reference to this elsewhere?
