had already published a version of the so-called
'Qabalistic Cross' in his *Dogme et Rituel de la
Haute Magie* in 1855 (in which he confuses the
assignment of Earth and Water to the points of
the Compass, which is then perpetuated by the
Golden Dawn et aliter) ~
