medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

no, not as such, and that is one of the more curious features, since they were
(to my best knowledge) never subjected to "weathering" --originally part of an
interior structure (i'm not sure where they were found after the 18th c.
demolition).
the eyes are uniformly drilled and (sometimes) filled with lead or mastic (i'm
not sure which), which gives them a "lively" appearance, but there is no trace
of polychromy, anywhere.
among the 500(!!) surviving fragments are many which are in marble, not relief
carving but rather incised figures which are filled with coloring.
so, the whole thing was not without its "colored" elements, but there doesn't
appear to have been any painting of the statues themselves.
