Liverpool plan to do it this way and I'm not aware of any problems
(other than the extant SL5/XFS issue). All that really matters is the
database on the headnode, and the physical location of files on pools
contained in that database.
I've done this on dCache in the past but not DPM so I may be missing
some gotcha.
