Dear Colleagues
You are invited to take part in a Delphi exercise to establish an internationally agreed minimum dataset for a Register of ongoing systematic reviews.
In response to growing concern about reporting biases, and advocacy for registration of systematic reviews, the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) is leading an initiative to establish an international register of ongoing systematic reviews. Your participation in the Delphi exercise will directly contribute to the development of the register.
The exercise will run over a period of six to eight weeks and require you to complete two rounds of questions. During piloting the average time taken to complete the first round questionnaire was 20 to 25 minutes. The research has been approved by the University of York Health and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee. The background and development plans for the Register have just been published in The Lancet http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(10)60903-8/fulltext
To take part in Round 1 of the Delphi exercise, go to www.surveymonkey.com/s/registerdelphi1 The first round consultation will close at 09.00hrs (UK time) Monday 2nd August 2010.
Apologies for any cross posting. We hope you will agree to participate and thank you in advance for your time.
Yours sincerely
