Well, SPM tells you what the problem is: the images are not of the same
size or orientation and can thus not be compared in a voxelwise fashion.
It is therefore not an issue of statistics but of preprocessing: did you
do realign and reslice (if in native space), or did you move one or more
of the images following spatial normalization? One image is enough to
cause this error, and later versions of SPM (one more reason to update
:) tell you the size and orientation of the images so you can find the
offending one more easily.
