While digging through my disorganised collection of books some may call
a personal library, looking for Foucault, I picked up a copy of one of
Dorothy Porter's verse novels.
Inside the tile pages I found a post card from Dorothy (a friend of
Dorothy is to say one is gay, hence our insistence on Dorothy against
Dot, which she accepted with flattered good grace.)
The post card, dated 1/2/93, read:
Dear Chris,
Happy New year!
And may all queer
good things come to you!
I saw "Zenia Gold" on
sale at Melbourne's Montsaluat
Poetry Festival.
Thanks for the Paglin piece. I like her
stuff. She's Pagan/Feral.
Take care, love Dorothy.
(The queer things refers to my media arts thesis; Queer Aesthetics.)
