Members of this list might be interested in "Mapping Portsmouth's Tudor
Past", a temporary exhibition of Tudor mapping being held at The Mary
Rose Museum in Portsmouth from 2nd July to 17th October 2010. The news
release indicates that the exhibition includes a number of maps on loan
from The British Library, the UK Hydrographic Office and the Admiralty
Library, such as a map from 1545, "the earliest scale map of an English
town and one of the earliest in Europe".
You need a valid ticket for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (£19.50) in
order to gain entrance to the exhibition.
