Maureen,
All of our sites are hold pick-up locations and have been since we
started on Millennium. There are no real problems. You will probably
have to consider whether there will be an additional transport burden -
we did not notice too much when we allowed people to return items
anywhere. The other thing you perhaps need to think about is how widely
you have given out holds permissions (as it is quite a blunt tool), we
have had quite a problem with queue jumping.
regards
Alan

Subject: (Another) Quick holds question: multiple pickup sites
Hello
At the moment our users can pick up their holds from 3 sites. We are
thinking of extending that to 5 sites. Do any of you have that number of
sites as pick up libraries? We offer a open reservation system i.e. the
first copy back satisfies a hold whatever the owning location/pickup
site or any other bib holds. Is this going to be feasible with 5
libraries? Any advice most welcome
Maureen
