Yes, "What would Design look like if all Art influenced were removed
from it?"
The question is looking alike (Geoff, I agree with you).
What if Design looked like:
Law
Medicine (if you feel sick)
Engineering (if you feel arty)
Nose picking (if you feel your nose hitching)
Horse riding (not for fun)if you have to go to some place not accessible by car
Driving (public buses)if it is your job
Chewing gum (to clean your teeth)
Nursing (if you were trained to do it and someone is prepared to pay you to do it)
Anthropology (if you have to choose a documetary to see in television Sunday afternoon hoping for a nap)
Vomiting (if you are starting to feel sick in a Roman banquet)
Changing position in bed (when your shoulder aches)
drink a beer (and not wine)if you are thirsty
shouting at your worse enemy (in dreams)
separate types of clothes for the washing machine (this one is tricky)
helping in church (if you are attending Sunday school and you want to won an illustrated book of the Old Testament)
falling asleep (wen you're sleepy)
using Excel to write a love letter (another one tricky)
listen carefully to your cardiologist (if you want to live longer)
swim 200 meters butterfly faster than 4 min at the age of 49 (that's me)
read the newspaper (only the sport pages)
theoretical Physics (if you are not satisfied with the present situation of a unified theory)
your worse fear (this really looks like design)
Joseph Blatter
a badger
saying no in the beginning of sentences
old socks that keep going inside your shoes
showing your passport at the US customs when you realize you look like Saddam Hussein out of the hole
etc
Cheers,
Eduardo
