medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi, Judith
I don't see anything lacking grammatically. The main verb is 'is motivated' (a narrative present); its subject is 'the emperor Henry IV', and its complement is the clause 'to bring his [i.e. the saint's] body back to Ferrara'.
Best,
John Dillon
