Subject: BIG changes in Spain's National Library

Those of you in Facebook might have seen the message to join the group below in solidarity with Spain's National Library (BNE)

On Friday of last week the Central Govt' announced a "re-structuring" of several state agencies, including that of the National Library.
Milagros del Corral, current Director of the BNE, will most likely not continue give the "demotion" of the BNE's directorship. From all groups I know in Spain, she had received high marks for her work.

A SALALM vendor has suggested that we (individually) express our concerns at negative impact that such changes will have on the profession. It seems that the head of the Spain's publisher's also shares that concern. Not sure where to send those "letters of concern"
but I will pass along any info. I get.
