Has anyone defined a prognostic cut-off for Troponin I or T post cardiac
surgery? As surgery itself results in perioperative myocyte damage and
necrosis it would be useful to have an evidence base for a higher cut-off
that would help discriminate patients with peri- or postoperative AMI from
those with unavoidable surgical or reperfusion related myocyte damage.
