Dear colleagues,
Analytical challenge notwithstanding (viscous samples), I should
challenge the view that tumor marker analysis is helpful in establishing
the benign/malignant nature of pancreatic (pseudo)cyst fluid samples.
Years ago I spent quite some time to check the literature and came to
the conclusion that firm judgements based on marker assays (CEA/CA 19-9)
can hardly be made.
If I missed more encouraging new data, I would be keen to learn.
Best regards,
Mike
