Alex Owen's "The Place of Enchantment: British Occultism and the Culture of
the Modern" (U Chicago Press, 2004) has some very good things, particularly
her chapter 6 on Crowley's Chorozon working, with reflections on the
Edwardian individual.
Check out Gordon Melton's "Encyclopedia of American Religions" and "Handbook
of Cults"(sic) for general background and contact info - both published by
