Dear all,
I have been away from my computer (any computer acutally) for several days and was very surprised to see such a huge number of emails in my inbox. I've skim-read most of them now and almost wish that I hadn't. I am disgusted by the abuse that Alison, in particular, has had to put up with. She is more than capable of defending herself against such vicious, cliche-ridden crap but I can't help but ask myself if she should have to on a public forum. I have regularly posted here for several years. My posts have lessened in number over the last year or so because of other demands on my time but I really value the variety of poetry and poetry-based discussions that I find whenever I drop in here. There are very few places that I can hear/read those kind of conversations. However, if I want to hear people shooting their mouth off I only have to drop into any town centre on any given Friday night.
I thought about leaving the list but have decided to use my delete key more systematically instead.
And now to work.
Tina
