Dear colleagues / friends,
As part of my practice-based PhD research on haptic/tactile interaction with visual information, I have been working on creating a photobook which is one of the products produced within my thesis. Even though it is defined as a photobook, there will be a fair amount of written material in it. I will also be looking into publishing this separately later on this year.
I have a short-listed selection of photographs from the pool of an online photography group that I've been curating for this purpose for over a year. The idea is to pair each of the photos with an independent writer (i.e. not myself, not one of the photographers, or anyone related to this research) to write an analytical copy/article about one of the photos. This call is open to academic designers, art historians, philosophers, psychoanalysts, art therapists etc in order to get the 'inclusive' feeling that is heart of my research. The only thing is, deadline will have to be quite tight (first week of May) however each essays/articles will only be be between 500-800 words.
If you are interested in taking part, please get in touch and I will send more information. Many thanks...
