Hi Terry
I haven't been following this thread very closely, but the discussion I was referring to was the one in which Patrick realized his work was being represented in a way he hadn't meant.
Would be interested to see how you would have represented the issue (which exactly?) to the engineering list.
Best,
Amanda

Dear Amanda.
Nope. When I raised the life drawing robot issue, I used language and set
the context and discourse in order to align with the common discourse
patterns and bodies of knowledge of the majority of members of this list.
If I had been posting to the [log in to unmask] list, I would
have posed exactly the same issue and phrased in a the different knowledge
framework relevant to that list. I'm sure much the same discussion would
have ensued but using the concepts, language and discourse models of that
community.
Best wishes,
Terry

Dear Patrick and list,
This discussion is really interesting because it illustrates that
'creativity' is a type of performative knowledge that we recognize through
the social category of 'art'. Shows how difficult it is to represent
certain signs and practices - drawing - outside of the concepts 'art',
'artist', 'creativity'.

Dear all,
I must slightly apologize.
After having some doubts and after a quick look at the communication and
articles around the project. I understand some of misunderstandings.
