I have not been reading the Facebook posts so if this topic has been
covered I apologize. In my opinion, one major advantage to creating a
fb fan page over a group is that you can add a 'viral' media widget
(audio/video podcasts) to a fan page, fb groups won't let you include
widgets. Since the widget is viral it can be spread to peoples personal
fb pages, blogs, web sites, myspace and other social sites...and can
also be converted to a free iPhone app available on iTunes for a few
hundred dollars a year -- fb groups are not this dynamic.
