Dear Sandra,
Have a look on the boneinfo system that lists most of the Dutch sites with zooarchaeological research: http://www.cultureelerfgoed.nl/werken/onderzoek-0. The page is in Dutch, but halfway through there is a link boneinfo (click it). The system itself is in English. Click on advanced in the left top corner and it should be self-explanatory.
Best wishes, Jessica

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Student project looking for prehistorical marine mammal records
Dear Zooarchers,
I am a master student in Conservation Ecology, based in Montpellier, France.
The subject of my project is the extent of the human footprint on global
patterns of marine mammal diversity and endemism.
I'm looking for historical and pre-historical records of marine mammal
occurrence that are outside their current range (as mapped in the IUCN:
http://www.iucnredlist.org/initiatives/mammals)
They come for instance, from ship travel logs and/or zooarchaeological work
(e.g., middens). Some of the records we found so far include: 2300 years-old
midden remains of Harp Seal in the Baltic Sea; 9th Century Norse
exploitation of Walrus in Iceland; and 16th century Basque whaling of
Bowhead whales off Labrador.
I'm trying to map what the "natural" range of each species would be in the
absence of human hunting. I'm focusing on data since the last glaciation.
I'll be grateful to hear from you!
Thank you very much,
Sandra
