Yeah, I *did call that to mind. But what Jonson's doing in the Ars
translation *doesn't violate the accent, or even twist it to any great
degree. Which is what makes it in some ways weirder than Donne (and Jonson
was probably referring to the Satyres, and anyway was pissed out of his
skull on Drummond's usquebeg). It's the mix of formality and drastic
innovation/extension ...
