KEELE UNIVERSITY
ARTHRITIS RESEARCH UK NATIONAL PRIMARY CARE CENTRE
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE: SYSTEMATIC REVIEWS
The Arthritis Research UK National Primary Care Centre at Keele has an internationally renowned research programme in chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders in primary care underpinned by several existing and ongoing high-quality observational cohorts and randomised clinical trials, with linkage to medical records. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced systematic reviewer to join our multidisciplinary team of researchers in a newly created post that is central to our research on musculoskeletal conditions.
Linking to the Centre’s funded programmes of work on low back pain and osteoarthritis, you will help to establish a programme of systematic reviews for the Centre and develop methodological research questions regarding the design and presentation of systematic reviews. You will have a key role within teams applying for external funding for systematic reviews, and will use your experience to support and advise students and staff members in literature searching and systematic reviewing. We are looking for a researcher with a higher degree (preferably doctoral) in a relevant subject (for example, health sciences, epidemiology, or medical statistics), with broad expertise and experience in systematic reviews and meta-analysis. You will be able to work independently, but also demonstrate good communication and organisational skills to work with a team of researchers, clinicians, and information specialists.
