A head and hooves burial perhaps, associated with the hide.....Fussell's
Lodge is the most famous comparision and is mentioned in
antiquity.ac.uk/Ant/067/0012/Ant0670012.pdf along with the other great
cattle burials of earlier prehistory.
Any butchery?

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Animal bones in Bronze Age burials (UK)
I have a Bronze Age (Beaker) inhumation with a cattle skull and
metapodials/phalanges in the upper fill. I have nothing to compare this
with, and I wonder if any of you have seen something similar? The site is
on the outskirts of the Costwolds, if that makes any difference.
