Hi Sarah,
I would be inclined to take this up with the publisher as a serious
issue.

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] Difficult e-journal access leading to
cancellation?
Hi all,
I've been trying to register a number of journals for online access. One
of these services has a tortuous procedure for remote access; the other
is proving a nightmare to set up. I dread to think what the user
experience of these particular journals will be like (I haven't been
able to get that far yet...)!
So I've started to wonder if any of you consider difficult online access
to be an important factor in the renewal of an electronic journal. In
the case of some of our journals, our usage is very low, and I can't
tell if this is due to 'just' poor usage, or difficult access
procedures. I know in some cases, cancellation wouldn't be an issue, but
I'm just curious to know if anyone does take awkward access into account
at any stage of the process.
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes,
Sarah
