Associate Professor in English
The Centre for Languages and Business Communication at Hanken School of
Economics (www.hanken.fi) invites applications for an Associate
Professor in English (Helsinki Campus)
As Associate Professor (Swedish universitetslektor) your most important
task would be to teach Academic Writing for business studies and other
courses in business communication, as well as engage in research in a
related field. The professorship is tenable from August 1, 2010.
Applicants should have a PhD in English (Language, Literature or a
related field), a documented publication record (Swedish:
docentkompetens), teaching experience and good teaching skills.
Excellent knowledge of English is also required.
Pedagogical qualifications and knowledge of Swedish would be considered
as merits.
A public test lecture may be requested. The applicants will be informed
specifically about arrangements.
The associate professorship is placed in the preliminary requirement
category 6-7 (€ 3,132- € 3,589 per month) for teaching and research
personnel. In addition, based on documented previous work performance, a
maximum of 46.3% may be added.
