Elderly Type II patient admitted to A/E 21/2 with blood glucose of 92.6mmol/L. All happily assumed HONK . Patient treated and discharged with appropriate advice and medication. Readmitted 24/2 with blood glucose of 76.7mmol/L. Nurse spots him drinking from a flask. Enquiry elicited that he was terrified of going into a hypo and so had drunk two and a half litres of Lucozade........
