dear all,
I´m just working on early bronze age material excavated in lower austria.
The animal bones mostly derive from settlement structures like pits
secondary used, during the early bronze age, for human burials. The animal
bones show a overwhelming majority of cattle which are represented
through skulls for a high percentage. On some of these skulls the
occipital region mostly the condyli occipitalis show clear traces of
burning. Does anybody know about similar findings and their
interpretation?
all the best
