Exactly. INTEGER*8 is a common extension, but not kosher. Mark does
mention it in his EXTREME document (SSN/73). I wondered if we needed
an ld2ar.F file. This question of array addressing is surely going to
come up more often with these huge datasets. Is there any plan to cope
with these, such as more blocking and chunking in apps, or some
infrastructure that could be applied widely?
