Hi there,
I'm interested to know whether any libraries in the UK rent shelf-ready copies
of best-selling fiction and which, if any, UK-based suppliers offer this service.
Leasing can be attractive as it saves buying dozens of copies of the latest
best-seller only to have 80% of these copies languishing on the shelves 12
months later. Libraries can lease copies and send them back when the initial
frantic demand has been satisfied. One US company who offer this is Brodart;
I've used them before in another library in another country and want to
investigate whether it's worth considering again.
I'll summarise responses for the list.
Thanks!
