Following earlier fwd'd posting, here's another stat figure for possible
use of 'Lis-maps' subscribers who may need to impress (or dismay) their
bean-counting and/or non-hard copy material space-making bosses.

Maps-L Community and Inquiring Minds,
According to our internal Map Catalog Management System, there are
approximately 98,800, 1:24,000 scale maps, which includes all reprints
and US single edition Forest Service maps. There are about six
different varieties of 1:24,000 scale maps. This number includes all of
them.
Thanks to Bob Kimmel for searching the database.
