PostDoc for fMRI and MEG in Depression
The unit Behavioral Psychobiology at the Dept. Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
offers a postdoctoral position for a
systemic neuroscientist (salary according to T-VL 13).
The successful candidate will have a background in experimental psychology
preferably with a focus on emotions, neuroimaging preferably with method
developments in fMRI or MEG, or a medical background preferably with research
experience in functional imaging. The position is offered for 3 years but a
prolongation should be targeted.
The position will be part of a DFG research project on neural basis of
auditory emotion processing and its serotonergic mechanisms in healthy and
depressive subjects. The research unit of Prof. Mathiak provides an
interdisciplinary background with method development, clinical neuroscience
and experimental psychology. You will be using chiefly fMRI with the research
dedicated 3T Siemens MR-Scanner of the department and high-density MEG. Your
tasks will encompass organisation of the project, planning and conducting of
experiments, data evaluation and publications.
