Jo,
Isn't the AQA spec all reading/writing? If there is no oral you can
easily give the examination at your centre. I have done this with
Chinese and others before now. I also held an oral examination where the
examiner was an uncle. We invigilated and recorded the process with the
exam boards blessing!
