About the Seminar
This presentation is by a specialist Government Security Engineer from the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI). The presentation will show the latest permanent, semi-permanent and temporary traffic calming and vehicle restraint measures that can be used to provide site protection.
About the Speaker
The speaker looks after all highways, vehicles and traffic matters within the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure which includes the development of countermeasures to traditional and evolving vehicle-borne terrorist threats.
Seminar Venue
The Cassie Building is building number 14 on the Campus Map (http://www.ncl.ac.uk/travel/maps/printable/Campus-Map-Print.pdf) and is about a 5-10 minute walk from Haymarket bus station, Haymarket or Jesmond metro stations, both of which are easily accessible from Newcastle Central station or Newcastle International Airport. The TORG seminars are intended to disseminate ongoing research and encourage detailed discussions of a diverse range of transport topics in an informal environment.
