medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Celia,
For your purpose of finding a pilgrimage blessing in a pontifical that
Henderson used, the one-stop source is J. Bruckmann, "Latin Manuscript
Pontificals and Benedictionals in England and Wales," TRADITIO 29 (1973)
391-458. He analyzes (gives contents of) most MSS. Note that Henderson's
notes are preserved in Oxford, Bodleian, MS. Lat. liturg. b.10 thru c.9;
Bruckmann notes for each which MSS Henderson was copying, so you can be
pretty sure what books he used. This should help.
