medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear All,
A proposed session, for the seventeenth International Medieval Congress (Leeds, 12-15 July 2010), on cultural and material aspects of medieval roads now needs a third scholarly paper whose delivery time is not to exceed twenty-minutes. The special thematic focus of the 2010 congress is Travel and Exploration. A paper dealing with roads in connection with pilgrimages or with monastic networks would be very welcome, as would also be one on road-focussed experiences of traveling.
Proposals, noting that this is for proposed session 3252, should be submitted to the IMC using its online paper proposal form:
http://imc.leeds.ac.uk/imcapp/Submit/PaperProposalForm.jsp
And a set of helpful guidelines is here:
http://www.leeds.ac.uk/ims/imc/submission_guidelines.html
As programming for next summer's congress is already well underway, proposals of a paper that might complete this interesting session are needed very soon.
Best wishes,
John Dillon
