Hi Joanne
I would be tempted to investigate the use of an ICP MS in your area -
you should be able to measure sodium and chloride at the same time.
Cheers
Trevor

Subject: ISE analysers for sweat analysis
Dear All
We are currently looking at the possibility of replacing our old
chloride meter and flame photometer, which are used solely for the
purpose of analysing sweat samples for CF diagnosis, for an ISE method.
We are reluctant to use the ISE on the main analysers (we have Vitros
instruments).
Can I ask what instruments other labs use? Do you use them solely for
sweat analysis?
Thanks for your help.
