Dear Naomi and All,
As some of you know photographic manuals for the identification
of domestic bird bones in Europe are being prepared by Teresa
Tomek and myself. The manuscripts are already in the printing
house and they should be published soon. One of them is
dedicated largely to galliforms.
Later this year when the manuals are available I will advertise
them on the Zooarch.

Subject: [ZOOARCH] digital bird manual?
To: [log in to unmask]
Dear all,
A few months back I heard a rumour that there were plans to create a digital (or perhaps
photographic?) manual for the identification of bones from themajor European bird groups.
Does anyone know if thisis true?
In particular I would be interested to know if there has been any work recently (e.g. last five
years) on methods for separating Galliforms.
Any help on this would be great, cheers, Naomi
